“gone to water” is a short story by tim gautreaux. it tells the story of an old man with dementia and his grandson. they go out on a boat in lousiana and get in direct contact with an oilspill.
the 5 illustrations picture key scenes in the tale and the progress of the illness. the black parts represent the present. the blue parts the old mans past. they are slowly getting the upper hand, just like the visions from the past do for the main character and the water did in the louisiana landscape.
